Flint Hills Resources to Build Second Solar Installation in Corpus Christi
Company Expands Renewable Energy Portfolio with Latest Project
Corpus Christi, Texas - August 1, 2024 - PRNewswire --
Flint Hills Resources announced today that it will be building its second company-owned solar installation to help power its U.S. operations. The project, known as WEB, will be the company's second large-scale refinery integrated solar installation in the United States.
The WEB project will be located adjacent to the company's Corpus Christi West refinery in Texas. The installation will consist of approximately 1.5 million solar panels and is expected to generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 75,000 homes.

The WEB project is expected to be completed in 2025. Once operational, the installation will help Flint Hills Resources to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 100,000 metric tons per year.
